I am a traditional metalsmith and art jewelry designer, a Certified Instructor for Precious Metal Clay, and a Certified NLP Life Coach.
With a background in drawing, painting, and textile design, I approach my work with metal and stone much like a painter prepares a palette and a weaver chooses color and fiber. Sterling and fine silver represent, for me, a blank canvas. It is where I begin, building textures, then adding color with stones and high karat gold.
The clarity of light, colors, and textures of the southwestern desert where I live provides generous inspiration. The desert is extreme and fragile, full of contrasts and the unexpected. Their is a delicate balance connecting the environment and life. My designs are a creative interpretation of these interrelationships.
I have enjoyed over 20 years of nationwide gallery representation, participated in art exhibits, solo shows, and served as a juror for art and craft fairs. I was a presenter at the 2006 Precious Metal Clay conference and I am published in "PMC Technic", edited by Tim McCreight.
As a Creativity Coach, I guide clients to access, explore, and use their natural creativity. Creative thinking can expand and clarify communications, enhance problemsolving skills, and open the possibilities for the creation of art and the art of living. I believe creativity is a resource for possibilities. It is my goal to share that belief through my teaching, jewelry design, and creativity coaching.
